NEWLY DESIGNED ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD APPLEBEE’S IS

BACK IN BUSINESS AFTER 2016 FIRE

Philadelphia Fire Company to be honored at ribbon cutting ceremony

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Nov. 7, 2017 – After a fire decimated the Roosevelt Boulevard Applebee’s on the afternoon of July 16, the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood will reclaim a much-missed meeting place for families, friends and community at the grand reopening of the newly redesigned and built Roosevelt Boulevard Applebee’s location on Nov. 13. Jeff Warden, CEO of Applebee’s franchisee The Rose Group, will present a plaque of appreciation to the Philadelphia Firefighters who ensured the safety of everyone at the scene of the fire as they cut a ribbon to officially reopen their doors to the public.

“We are a large part of the Northeast Philadelphia community and want to recognize the first responders who ensure the safety of our community every day,” said Warden. “We have regulars, clubs, teams and families who had befriended our staff and came in each week, which is why we took this opportunity to rebuild better than ever with this new design. We owe it to our employees and community and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”

This Applebee’s location is the first in Philadelphia with the company’s new interior design. The restaurant features exposed brick, loft ceilings, a large wrap-around bar, distressed wood and many other updated design elements. Sports fans will have more TVs than ever to enjoy the game, shoppers visiting the local stores will have a convenient place for lunch and beer lovers will enjoy an expanded draught and bottled beer list. Over 30 design elements were created as a part of a national initiative to enhance the Applebee’s dining experience, all of which are incorporated into the new Roosevelt Boulevard location.

The Roosevelt Applebee’s location is open for business as of Nov. 13 and hours of operation are 11 a.m.- 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.- 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. - midnight on Sundays.
